Lately I've been debating putting up my proudest photographs. My biggest concern is the fact that some of my proudest photos are those of people.
I've been fighting this in my head. My friends know I am taking pictures of them, and they know I am putting those photos on Facebook. I'm sure they know I'm trying to attain a more professional status (even as a hobbyist). And the best way to improve is to listen to constructive criticism. However, I cannot get that feedback unless I put those photos into a public forum. But I don't know if I'd be overstepping boundaries by exposing photos of my friends in a more public atmosphere.
You see where I'm going with this?
I've been trying to think outside the box. I would LOVE to do photoshoots with people. This is a dream I've had since the summer. Having a more professional environment in which to shoot people, I'd probably have a legitimate standing in order to post those photos on my DeviantArt, or at the very least, my Flickr account.
I could also ask my friends if they mind me putting their photos online. But what is the difference between a Facebook and a Flickr photo? Anyone can access either photograph. So is there really a need for inquiry?
Ultimately, I want to stimulate some more activity in my galleries. I haven't taken too many scene pictures lately, and I feel my galleries have grown stagnant. I am considering myself a more people-orientated photographer.
Any thoughts, suggestions, or advice out there?

You shouldn't let your mind wander; it's far too small to be out by itself.
